Yufuin Kaorinosato Hanamura

Entry & communal areas have a sort of retro luxury feel. They have both western & Japanese style rooms. My room was Japanese style w a western style bed. The bedroom & bathroom were very spacious. Best I’ve had in japan so far. The onsen was lovely. They have both public & private onsens open 24 hrs. I only tried the public onsen but had it to myself! The public onsen has indoor/outdoor option. Also, the onsen dressing area was so nice & had more amenities than I have seen at other onsens I tried. My bathroom had a large private bathroom & shower. You get to wear free yukatas with your stay. Also get some cute little free gifts. My stay included breakfast & dinner. Meals are traditional Japanese meals. I’m a picky eater, so not all the food suited my taste but I am glad I had the opportunity to try a traditional Japanese multi-course meal (kaiseki?). Staff were super kind from picking me uo at the station through checkout. Since my japanese is very limited, having an English speaking staff members onsite at all times was very helpful
